GSO Regulatory Changes 2020 - Additional requirements for Plugs and Socket-Outlets / Cord extension sets
Further to GSO announcement on 9th June 2020, concerning the additional national requirements for specific products placed onto the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) market, SASO has defined a new deadline to implement this requirement as listed below.(Click to see the attachment)
- Plugs and socket-outlets: SASO 2203, deadline will be on 6th August 2020 for both New G-mark Certificates (first time certification) or to existing G-mark Certificates (updates and renewals).
- Cord extension sets: GSO 2117, deadline will be on 2nd February 2021 for both New G-mark Certificates (first time certification) or to existing G-mark Certificates (updates and renewals).
